Jobs Demand Index Watch an occupation

Privacy notice

Last updated November 4, 2026.

The Jobs Demand Index is published by Fiduci Consulting Inc., a British Columbia company based in Vancouver, Canada ("we", "us"). This notice explains what personal information we collect through jobsdemandindex.com, why, who processes it for us, and the choices you have. It follows Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act, Quebec's Law 25 and Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).

Using the site

You can use the index, the occupation pages and the insights without an account or sign-up. The site sets no cookies and runs no advertising, tracking or analytics scripts. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, keeps standard technical logs (such as IP address, browser type and the page requested) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We use these logs only for security and to keep the site running, and we do not use them to identify you.

What we collect, and why

Watchlist and newsletter sign-up. If you sign up, we collect:

  • your email address, to send the weekly index and the rating changes you asked for;
  • the occupations you choose to watch, so we know which changes to send you;
  • the 90-day career decision you choose to share, if any. This is optional, and we use it only in aggregate to decide which topics later issues cover;
  • a record of your consent: what you agreed to, the date and time, and the form you used.

Inquiries from organizations. If you use the contact form or email us, we collect your name, email address, organization and message, to reply and to provide what you asked about.

Purchases. If you buy a demand brief or a data licence, Stripe processes your payment. We receive your name, email address, billing details and what you bought. We never see or store your full card number.

We collect only what these purposes need, and we use it only for them unless we ask you first or the law requires it.

Consent

We ask for your express consent before sending you email, and the sign-up form is never pre-ticked. You can withdraw consent at any time: every email has a one-click unsubscribe, and we act on it within 10 business days, usually at once. Withdrawing consent does not affect purchases you have already made.

What we never do

We do not sell or rent personal information. We do not share information that identifies you with employers, recruiters, insurers, data brokers or anyone else for their own use. Research we publish or license uses only aggregate statistics about groups large enough that no individual can be identified.

Who processes information for us

We use a small number of service providers, under contracts that limit them to processing information on our behalf and require them to protect it:

  • Cloudflare: website hosting and security;
  • Kit (ConvertKit): email sign-ups and sending the newsletter;
  • Stripe: payments;
  • Google Workspace: email and business records.

These providers may store and process information in the United States and other countries outside Canada. While it is there, it may be accessible to courts and authorities of those countries under their laws. We assess providers before using them and choose ones with strong security and privacy commitments.

How we protect it

We protect personal information with safeguards suited to its sensitivity, including encryption in transit and access limited to people who need it. If a breach creates a real risk of significant harm, we will notify you and the Privacy Commissioner as the law requires.

How long we keep it

We keep your sign-up details while you are subscribed and delete them within 90 days of unsubscribing, apart from the consent record, which we keep for as long as the law requires. We keep inquiry and purchase records for as long as needed for the business relationship and for tax and accounting rules, usually seven years.

Your rights

You can ask what personal information we hold about you, how we use it and who we have shared it with, and you can ask us to correct it or delete it. Quebec residents can also ask for their information in a structured, commonly used format. We give these same rights to everyone, wherever you live. Write to us at the address below. We will reply within 30 days and may need to confirm your identity first. There is no charge.

Children

The site is meant for working professionals and organizations. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.
